preguntas frecuentes

  • Is there a point of sale where I can get the adventure booklets?
There is no physical point of sale for the booklets. If you wish to avoid the postal delivery delay, you can order the booklets in digital PDF format. You will then immediately receive a download link by email. Print the notebook at home, or hit the streets with the file on the screen of your smart phone or digital tablet.
  • Do I have to book?
For the self-service activity you do not have to book. When you have the adventure booklet in your possession, you can do the investigation whenever you want and at your own pace. There is no facilitator or character for the self-service activity.
  • Which is the starting place of the adventure?
In your notebook you have the map of the territory of the adventure. Simply start your adventure at the place described by the first riddle in your notebook.
  • What is the walking distance?
It takes an average of 3 km of walking to complete an adventure. This may vary depending on the strategy you adopt.
  • Can children under the age of 12  participate?
Yes, they can accompany the adults during the activity. However, given the difficulty of the puzzles, they may not actively contribute to the game.
  • Are the routes suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
Yes. It is possible to complete the adventure without using stairs. But to avoid the stairs, you will sometimes have to lengthen your journey slightly.
  • Multi-team, are we all going to follow each other to the same place at the same time?
The puzzles in the booklet can be solved in any order. If you are several teams, you can do the puzzles in a different order so as not to work on the same puzzle at the same time.
  • I believe I found the solution, but there is nothing there to confirm to me that I succeeded."
It's okay. Remember that your mission is to investigate with the secret information you have in your possession to find the location of a treasure lost long ago. If there was a sign saying the treasure is here, it wouldn't be lost. As you cannot dig for confirmation, you are encouraged to verify your solution by visiting the webpage given at the end of your booklet.
  • How can we check our answers with the booklet?
At the end of your booklet, you will find the address of a web page where you can obtain the solution of the adventure.
  • Are the adventure scenarios historically true?
Scenarios contain historical facts and elements of fiction. They are inspired by rumours. Let's say they could have been true. The Adventure Master's stated goal is to mix historical fact and fiction. He hopes that participants will continue to question themselves when they return home, and will search the Internet for answers to their questions. So the adventure can continue, as well as the discovery of history and heritage.
  • Are the adventures with an animator service only for groups?
No. You can book for a serviced adventure even if you are a family, a couple or even a single person. However, you will be required to pay the minimum fee for hosting a serviced adventure.
  • Does the activity take place in bad weather?
Activities can still be held in case of bad weather. If you feel it is best to cancel, check the terms of your reservation regarding a cancellation.
  • If we do the activity with a large group, will the teams follow each other  at the same stations all along the route?"
For large groups, the adventure master has various tricks to ensure that the teams do not follow each other in the same order on the course. You can discuss this with him at the time of booking.
  • We are a group. Do we all do the activity together?
When you are a group, you are invited to form teams of 3 to 6 people. All teams can start at the same time. This is not a problem, even for large groups, because the puzzles can be mixed up so that the teams are not all at the same monument at the same time.
  • Can the activity have a sporting side?
If you want to increase the level of physical activity, just give participants a tighter time limit to complete the mission.
  • Are dogs accepted?
    Avacure accepts dogs.
  • Can you adapt the duration of the activity so that it is shorter?
Yes. During adventures with service, the facilitator can modify certain factors such as the number of puzzles so that the activity takes less time. Please specify this at the time of booking so that the activity can be adapted to the time available to you.
  • When we do the activity as a group, is there a winning team at the end? Is there a prize for the winners?"
The adventures are designed so that each team can accomplish its mission and therefore find the solution. Would you like a team to win? You can consider the team that finishes first, while having found all the correct answers, as the winner. Avacure has not provided a prize for the winners, but you can provide one.
  • Can you book us a restaurant where we can go after the activity?
No. Avacture has chosen to focus on the quality of its adventures and does not have the expertise to find you a good restaurant, an hotel or a room for a reception. However, Avacture can put you in touch with people who specialize in these services.
  • Do you give a beer after the activity like some guided tours?
No. But nothing prevents you from organizing your own "post-adventure" in a bar or restaurant.
  • Do you organize car rallies?
No. Avacture favors activities that can be done on foot, instead of motorized activities, because in addition to being ecological, they promote physical activity.
  • Can you create custom scavenger hunts and rallies?
It is possible. It depends on what you have in mind. You should know that original, high-quality, true-story, heritage-enhancing adventures, such as those offered by Avacture, usually require several months of work and tens of thousands of dollars in investment. If your budget and available time are too limited, or if your activity is only going to be used once, it might be best to adapt an existing adventure to suit your needs. But if you want to enhance a municipality, museum or other place with a sustainable tourist attraction, Avacture's unique expertise could indeed help you. Contact the creator of Avacture to discuss.
